The tree and bees are finally painted. It is a great focal point for the room and looks AMAZING. I couldn't be more excited for how well it turned out. We had some minor touch ups that have been completed and the room is now organized and put back together.
This weekend is our first baby shower -- we are very excited to be around friends and family. Being showered with their love and support is all that we could ask for. Shower #2 is the following weekend and then a fun couples shower will be in Mid-March. I will add more pictures once we get through the first two showers as I am sure the room will look a little more "put together" at that point.
Can you believe that in just 7ish weeks this little one will be welcomed into the world and we will begin our new life? In preperation for all of these exciting things we have completed our parenting/birthing classes. Michaels thoughts on the class was that it was VERY interesting, he learned A LOT, but he is glad that he isn't the one going through it all. All I could do was laugh and tell him to enjoy the ride. In the next week we will be doing pre-admittance paperwork at the hospital and chosing a pediatrician.
The most important thing I have learned thus far is that every little thing I do, say or feel affects our baby and it is a VERY scary situation. I freak out whenever I don't feel him move all the time. If I feel off for a day I worry that something is happening. If I sleep way more than I normally do I feel as if something is wrong. These thoughts are becoming more active in anticipation for our newest arrival. I keep telling myself to quite worrying look forward to the excitment to come.
Until next time -- happy late Valentine's Day and look forward to some more postings in the next few weeks to come.
